The function of braces
Braces are a natural way to straighten and correct the layout of your teeth. Conventional metal braces, are made up of wires that fix to your teeth that then gradually push, pull and rotate your teeth into a much more desirable position. This process can take some time, but during the course of your treatment we’ll make small adjustments to allow for a much greater result.
Clear braces have been a round for a number of years now and allow for a very similar result, with the need to have such a visual brace. Clear braces are like small moulded trays that sit over the teeth and overtime gradually move your teeth into the correct position.

So why get braces?
Dental braces can help with the following situations:
- Overcrowded teeth
- Gaps between teeth
- Overjet where your upper teeth stick out
- Underbite where your bottom teeth stick out
- Crossbite where your teeth bite down on the wrong sides
Would braces be suitable for me?
In most cases, absolutely! the majority of people can have braces and are most effective on adolescents that have a full set of adult teeth. Though some people are eligible for braces on the NHS, for the most part, there is a cost.
